Inlet Technologies has introduced live streaming solution for the Apple iPhone. The Platform known as the Spinnaker supports a number of formats such as H.264 video, HE-AAC audio VC-1, Silverlight and Flash VP6.
John Bishop, a Senior VP Inlet, said that "iPhone can penetrate consumer devices, offer interesting opportunity to reach its viewer ".

According to Bishop, Spinnaker is the right choice for live sports coverage, such as a real-time highlight without additional preparation of the file. Spinnaker also allows users to switch between multiple camera angles and a game during one incident in progress. URL or a description, such as values and statistics can be inserted directly into the live streaming.

Bishop added that Spinnaker integrates the same capability stream segmented with Apple, the streamlined processing and eliminate the need for additional hardware.

Spinnaker own offer support for other adaptive streaming protocol, including Microsoft and Adobe Smooth Dynamics Streaming. Additional features include multiple other encoder synchronization and numerous audio Enhancements.
